i'm still trying to piece the interviews together...i added in a convo w/ a transman, but unfortunately i didn't have the opportunity to go somewhere quiet w/ him. so there's people talking in the background... i liked a lot of what he said, but i need to rerecord...

i want to focus on gender for my final project...i still need to gather a lot more audio, and figure out a structure. so far, most of the stuff i have is from the same person i used for my aud. portrait....

the recording quality is pretty terrible, so i'm going to try to rerecord a lot of it. i had a hard time with my interviewee, so right now, i feel like i just have a collection of clips going in a bunch of different directions...

This is not much different from the previous file, but I added a sound to punctuate the end and moved the second swan calls a bit earlier.

i recorded some sounds at the arb, like the river, trumpeter swans, and footsteps in the snow/on the ice.

list project final

i tried to incorporate some music and other sounds (some of it is from the clip 'shapiro,' and also some swans honking at the arb). i used two songs, and for the first one, i knew how i wanted it to come in, but not how i wanted it to go out. i had the opposite problem with the second song...so yeah. also, one of the times i exported the piece, soundtrack pro had some issues, and slowed it down at the end. i posted that version as well (it's the second file).

i have two things in different directions so yeah. unedited right now. just basic ideas. i had music playing while i spoke the second, so there's some weird pauses that will chopped down.

i thought my delivery for my piece was a little flat, so i edited my 'script' from prose to something more like poetry, in an attempt to make things a bit more expressive. unfortunately, this resulted in the piece getting a little too long. i worked on reciting the copy for a really long time, but still had some trouble. also, i learned that i have a hard time doing this sort of thing without moving. this resulted in some random background sounds, but i figure that because physical movement would be part of my delivery if i were to perform the piece live, some sonic remnants of that are actually somewhat appropriate.
